Ok here it is for all you people that don't know whats going on. I am very excited to call Ladd my fiance. Over spring break we went to Cancun. Of course we planned this trip thinking we were going to get crazy drunk everyday and have tons of fun in the sun. Well around February 8th a little surprise changed our lives. The day after my birthday we, or rather I took a pregnancy test *bc that little fairy never visited*. Well surprise surprise!! It was a crazy, shocking birthday present, a little sceptical at first, but we are proud to announce we are going to be parents on October 11th.
Our next doctors appointment is on the 22nd and we are praying we will find out if it is a boy or girl. We have been hearing so many different stories from different people saying when its too early to tell. Hopefully by 15 weeks and a few days we will be able to tell something!! We're getting so antsy because we really want to start registering and buying things for the nursery. I am even antsier about when I'm going to start showing. I'm in that stage where I just look like I have that dreaded "tire" around my waist, not pregnant at all. But the thing is, I'm already growing out of my regular jeans and can hardly wear any of my athletic shorts. So things are getting a little snug which means Jellybean (what we named the baby till its born) is growing everyday!! Ill keep you posted on Jellybean as we find out more.
Back to Ladd "popping the question". Well since Jellybean has made a huge impact on our lives, we discussed marriage and rings and whatnot. I kind of knew it was coming but didn't know when or where. So it was the last day in sunny Cancun (FYI the last day was the only sunny day all the other days were gloomy and rainy and kind of chilly), and we were walking along the beach taking some last minute pictures and just admiring the gorgeous blue water. That's when Ladd turned to me and said, "Oh, there is one last thing I want to give you", and then he reached into his pocket and pulls out that little blue box and asks me to marry him. I'm not going to lie, I had butterflies and was super excited!! That put the icing on the cake for the trip, considering the weather and that I was somewhat sick the majority of the time. I had fun and now I'm engaged with a family on the way. I know its a little backwards but I don't think God puts responsibility on shoulders of people who cant handle it. I am definitely ready for everything life has to give me!!
