First Week of Summer School..

Ok so waking up at 7 am every morning isn't the toughest part of my school week. Actually that's the easy part. The hard part is getting from Kyle field to the Chemical Engineering building in 20 minutes. I would say it would be a piece of crumb cake for a normal person but 5 months pregnant and close to 100 degree weather!! Yeah right! The first day of school, my 8 am prof just kept talking and was 5 min late in letting us out. So I was like GREAT! So my friend, Jordyn and I realized we had the same class. So we basically hauled butt to get there on time. I'm talking speeeeed walking!! We got there just at 10 am (which is when class started). Well that prof I guess started early because she was already half way through the syllabus. I was like WTF!! So as soon as class was out I called my doctor and asked him if it was ok to ride a bicycle across campus. He said it would be fine just keep hydrated. So that night after yoga class, I loaded up my bicycle (Ladd was at work and I had help from my friend Hunter) and took it up to campus. Wednesday was much easier riding my bike even though I was super sore from speed walking the day before. So in conclusion by Wednesday night I was super exhausted! Like I have NEVER felt this exhausted before in my life!! Believe it or not I actually went to bed before midnight!!
So one thing I am super excited about summer school is that I'm taking a yoga class! Well 2 days of the week we do lecture and 2 days we do yoga. Today we did our first yoga positions. Some of them felt great and there is just this one that killed me!! Its that table top position. I tried my hardest to maintain the position but after a few seconds all I could think about was Jellybean and my aching stomach. I had told my instructor that i was pregnant the first day of class and she said if there was any modifications to any position that would benefit/affect me, she would tell me. So since she hadn't told me that this is one i couldn't do, i did my own modification :) Anyways all in all it was a very relaxing time and i enjoyed it!!
OOOh another thing i found out about summer school. I thought i was going to get at least a week break bw summer sessions.. Um no. Its like I take finals for summer 1 session on a Monday, and summer 2 starts the next day, Tuesday!! So basically I will be going to school from 8 am to noon all summer :(
A little bit of Jellybean news, he is moving around A LOT more. It seems like everytime i lay down at night he wants to wake up. He just seriously throws a fit! The week that Ladd was at work I would tell him about it and he was just in shock when he actually got to feel it. Its like he makes my whole stomach move. Then every now and then if you watch it close you can actually see a small bump or one time I actually saw the elbow or knee move across my tummy! Its great! I cant wait to see him on the ultrasound next Doctors apt. on the 17th.

Dr. Apt @ 20 weeks

Well Jellybean is doing great. Going into the Doctors office I was very afraid of my iron count being low along with other things considering I have been taking Flintstone vitamins instead of prenatal. But the Doctor said everything looks good and the heartbeat is GREAT! He said at 20 weeks the top of the uterus should be right at my belly button. We also told him we peeked a little early and he just smiled. Which is a relief because I thought he would be a little upset or whatnot because he wanted to wait till 24 weeks.
Anyways, Ladd and I have been just been real busy all weekend. Lets see, Sunday we drove down to Houston and went to Herman Park downtown and took some beautiful engagement pictures. James Massey has a very nice, professional like camera that can take like a ka-ba-gillion pictures at a time. So in our pool of pictures you can see a progression of one shot and its SOO cool. None the less we got some 40 amazing pictures out of like maybe 200+. Now we just need to print them out and send them out to everyone. By the way James had an amazing assistant, his wife Bethany helped out with positioning us and making sure everything in the picture looked great.
Sunday was a nice, relaxing day. Walked through the park and watched a "free spirit" dance and go loony in the middle of the park's main lounge area. Quite entertaining for our water break.
On Monday we slept in kind of late. Before we went to bed I asked Ladd if we should set an alarm. All he said was, "We should be ok, the sun will come through and wake us up." Well we didn't wake up till noon. Haha.. but we were off and registering soon enough. We went to Babies-R-Us first, who knew registering for things is so much fun. Ladd got to run the gun first and I got to handle the listand it went fairly fast. Then we headed off to Target to register for the small things. In Target I got to run the gun and you know me, I'm trigger happy and register for stuff like diapers and wipes and one-sies and tons of fun stuff while Ladd was wondering off looking at other things and talking on the phone. :) All and in all, we had tons of fun and I cant wait to see what we get.

Holy Moly.. Its been a while!!

Sorry guys for not keeping this up to date but Ladd and I have been SOOO busy!! But we sat down together and have made a list of things we want to update yall on. So far the pregnancy is going great. After I hit the 2nd trimester mark I have been feeling so much better. I have been eating things like they have been going out of style (in moderation). Like for the first 2 weeks I craved nothing but Taco Bell and then after that it was Raising Cane's.

Well since our Doctor doesn't want to do the next ultrasound till 24 weeks, and if you know me I'm not the most patient person in the world, we got access to an ultrasound technician at 17 weeks. It was really cool because we where in there for over 30 minutes looking at the little one, we even got a video tape of it all.

After about 7 minutes we saw plain and clear that Jellybean is a BOY!! Later that week Ladd felt him kick and move for the first time, his eyes lit up like a little kid in a candy store. Between going camping, weddings, and clothes shopping, Jellybean has been super active, and yes my baby bump is starting to make an appearance. I can finally wear maternity shirts and actually look pregnant and not just fat. Clothes shopping has been a hoot. I love the maternity, stretchy pants!! They are amazing and comfy!! Kinda sad I hadn't discovered these before I got pregnant!!

On wrapping this up and not making it too long, Ladd and I are going to go to Houston on Sunday and take engagement pictures, thanks to James and Bethany and on Monday we are registering at Babies-R-Us and Target. Feel free to pull together and buy large items (hint hint) rocking chair (Babies-R-Us).

This one is for you Brad and Ragan!!
