Thats NOT mud!!

I have been trying to write this post for over a week now. Everytime I sit down to do it, something happens!!

YES POO.. ITS EVERYWHERE!!
Ok so about a week ago I started Emma on baby food. Well she LOVED it!! She already has the eager eating syndrome where she cant wait for the next bite, so you better have it ready, no lollie-gagging. So due to the solid foods, she has gotten a little more expressive in the "OutPut" area of things. I went from "No Diaper Accidents" to "Two in 2 days". So yeah its been interesting.

This is how I felt!! haha Watch it!!
Yeah when we took the onsie off it was up under her chin , all over in her hair and found it btw her toes!! It was DISGUSTING and was a two person job. If Ladd wasn't here I would have definitely had to hose down with her bc neither of the older kids would have helped. They ran the other way with their shirts over their noses and making gagging sounds.

4 MONTHS OLD!
Emma also turned 4months this month. She is getting so big and at her 4mth Well Check she weighed just over 15lbs and is in the upper 50-75% on everything.

She's getting so big and is considered a "Supported Sitter". Recently she has just learned how to blow bubbles and she is amazed at it and does it ALL the time!! The older two get a kick out of it!!

GAME DAY AGS!!
A few weeks ago we went to College Station for the first Aggie Football Game and to see Kyle Field since it just got a "FaceLift". Its GINORMOUS!! And so pretty!! Anyways the day was super HOT and we all sweated buckets but we made it through with only minimal tantrums. Greyson and Braelyn had tons of fun and got to see old friends, Avery and Kinley and got to meet Everett, which was his first Aggie Game Day too! Emma and Everett are only 2 days apart.

4 MONTHS GOING ON 5
So a few things we have started doing in the past week or so.. One morning (Saturday, 20th) I laid Emma down under her play mat and went to the other room to get dressed. When I came back she had rolled over and was just "talking" away. I was like WHAAAAT!!?? Please stop GROWING!! Where did my sweet, sweet little infant baby go!!?

I also started giving her some solid food every now and then to get her introduced to eating. Well she definitely likes it!! Just his morning she scarfed down some yummy carrots! Only catch with her, it has to be heated up, same with her bottle when I give her one. It cant be just warm, it has to be slightly on the "Hot Chocolate" warm side. If things aren't heated up she will turn her nose up to it. Spoiled little turkey!

BIG BROTHER AND SISTER
So big sister came in the other day to come talk to Emma. Well they had an excellent conversation about baby dolls and Barbies. I am sure Braelyn CAN NOT wait till she will be old enough to play with her, Im sure there will be more fighting than playing but hey, a mom can dream!

Greyson absolutely adores Emma. He always wants to hold her and play with her. Although he wishes it was a brother instead, he still cant wait till she gets older so he can show her the ropes.

Greyson's birthday is on the 25th and Ladd got called out to a rig and may not make it to his party on Saturday so we celebrated his birthday with a cake and a gift last Thursday night. Well over the past month or so Greyson has been really wanting a Snackeez. He saw the commercial and has really been trying to sell me on it. Every time we passed it in the store he would give his spill on how it will prevent messes and when he takes it in the car the drink wont spill and the snack wont get messy. I mean he had the commercial down pat man!! So I got him one for his 'Early Birthday' and he loves it. Instead eating his cereal in a bowl the other morning he wanted his milk in the cup and the cereal in the snack part. Haha.. silly kid!!

Summer 2014 Family Pictures

So let me set the stage here. It was an early September morning in Houston. Need I saw more? Haha humid as all get out and super hot. You cant tell in the pictures but we were all sweating profusely! Gross I know!! But being the AMAZING photographer she is Blaire did a great job capturing our family. The field, which I have seen so many use in their pictures too, was a great back drop with the Spanish moss and huge oak trees. Besides the humidity it was gorgeous!!

Greyson is a few weeks shy of being 6 yrs old.
Braelyn is few months past turning 3 yrs old.
Emma was a few days short of being 4 months old.
Ladd is only a few months away from turning 32.
And I am turning the big 29 in February! WHAAAT!!??

So if you are in the Houston/Cypress/Tomball area you should definitely look her up because Blaire is amazing with kids and does some FREAKING awesome work!! You get a CD full of edited pictures and you also get a pretty decent amount time with her during the shoot. Look her up on FB

Crying over Spilt Milk

09-11-14

On this somber day 13 yrs ago, the lives of America changed forever. We were brought to our knees at the face of terrorism, while thousands of innocent lives where taken by men who did not care who they hurt, only to accomplish one goal, to watch the US crumble as a nation. Well at first it may have seemed that way but we stood up and fought back. Even though we are still fighting that "war," we are faced with another obstacle. ISIS. They aren't over sees like all of our troops are, they are here on our own turf. Being spotted across the Nation. I pray that our president has the knowledge to protect our country and not be the Anti-Christ everyone claims him to be.

(Thanks for the Photo Brittany Stansbury.)

Next bit of news from the Moehnke Household, another FREEZER INCIDENT occurred this morning. I'm not sure what exactly happened bc it wasn't left opened like I had originally thought bc it was still very difficult to open. But when I did open it, I found all the milk on the top shelf soft. This is the milk I still didn't have to heart to throw away from previous defrostings. All the food on the door was soft. But everything else was still frozen. Not sure what the deal was? People has suggested it was the breaker, or the outlet or something electrical. Well the freezer has a digital panel letting me know if power was lost, or if the door was ajar and the internal temp. None of those lights where on!! I am almost certain the outlet it is plugged into is a dedicated circuit, so it shouldn't have an issue since its the ONLY thing plugged into that socket. The last time I was in the freezer was last night around 1 am. Everything was good then and since the first catastrophes I have made it a habit to lean into the door when closing it to make sure it closes. So when I opened it this morning around 7ish to find it soft I was so defeated. Hours later I still don't have any words to describe how I feel.

So after dropping Braelyn off at school I came home and pulled the big trash can into the garage and proceeded to clean it out.  I told myself I wasn't going to cry but that wasn't the case. I boo-hooed like a damn baby. 180+/- bags of 4 oz. of milk thrown out.
After filling the trash can up with liquid gold, and stinky food, I reluctantly pulled it to the curb since it was trash day. I then stood there with the lid propped open and proceeded to cry. Down right bawling..

My neighbors must of thought I was completely crazy bc I was crying over trash. haha!! On a good note, the milk I have been saving since the last incident did not show any signs of defrosting so the 30+ bags from the past few weeks is still ok!! Ill be a milking machine the next few weeks to catch up and replenish my supply bc my security blanket/ comfort zone with having NO milk surplus has made me super panicky and anxious.

RUN FORREST RUN!!

Ok as you all know we lost Riley 2 yrs ago this past August. Just so everyone has the back story here it is.

Riley was a VERY energetic dogs. ALWAYS on the go, making running paths through and around the yard. The ONLY time he would ever sit still is if he spotted something. Sometimes it would have been nothing. I always said Riley could stare at a spec of dust for hours. This one time our neighbor had her bird by an open window. I looked out that morning and saw him sitting and staring at that cage. A few hours later, still there, never moved a muscle.

When Ladd and his family would go on their annual fishing/river trip, Riley would swim in the river in the same spot, against the current, ALL day long! His nickname "Forrest" came from the simple fact that you would be sitting in camp and Riley would run thru, a few minutes or hours later, he would run back through the other direction. You never really saw him unless he was tired. You had to make him eat.
Riley just before he passed away.

 Riley as a puppy

Ever since Riley passed away, Ladd and I have both been wanting another German Short Haired Pointer. Ladd wanted a male and to name him Forrest. Well I wanted a female because they tend to be smaller and less rambunctious. So we decided to eventually get two, Forrest and Jenaye (Forrest Gump accent)

Well when we moved back to Taylor, the lady Ladd got Riley from had mentioned she had a litter coming up! At first we were like, no we cant we already had two dogs. But in the end we HAD TOO!! They were too stinking cute. There was only one female and was spoken for already so we picked out the cutest male, Forrest, which ended up being the runt of the litter.

So in the end we are very excited about our new addition. He has some big paws to fill. When Ladd took him out hunting on Opening day he didn't even spook when the guns went off. Ladd had said he acted like nothing was going on. He is getting extremely handsome in the face and his spots are starting to come thru as well. We hope he is as half as goofy as Riley was.

DOVE SEASON 2014

On Monday, Ladd's dad threw a get together for everyone out at the Bowers for Dove Season Opening day. Everyone had a BLAST! Had some GREAT food and even though the Dove were scarce, we had a ton of fun shooting skeet and "hunting"

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2014
So Greyson and Braelyn started school this past two weeks. Last year I got a cool idea from Pinterest and made a shirt he will wear for each First Day of School till he is a Senior. Ill make one for Braelyn too when she starts PreK. So the first set of pictures are from him starting PreK back in September of 2013. Then the second set of pictures is from this year!! He has GROWN so much!!

Braelyn had started a MDO program back in January after we moved to Taylor. So the first picture is from her first day, back in Jan 2014, and the second picture is from Tuesday! She is growing up way too fast. She lost all her cute pudgy baby looks!! So sad!!

Then while I was nursing one day I put together this little gem. Everyone thought Emma looked so much like Braelyn when she was a baby. Well after putting these three together I think she looks more like her brother!!
Going clock wise. Its Emma, Greyson, Braelyn.

But then again they don't look alike at all! haha.

CRAZY, WHAT? WHO??!!

In the past few months or actually since we announced we were pregnant with our third, ppl have called us crazy all the way to insane or even selfish for having that many kids and wanting more! I love my kids, I LOVE kids in general. I can not describe the love that God has put in my heart for my children and the ones to come. I am not selfish or insane. I am a mother who has too much love for my family. Yes at times I am beyond exhausted and wished I could pee by myself or even have 10 minutes alone, but you know what, too me THATS selfish!! God has given me three precious, and in my eyes, perfect children, what more can I ask for? Maybe one more :) haha. I do not love one more than the other and nor do I treat one different than the other. I try to give my children everything they need and want. From extracurricular activities to the best schooling to time with friends and family. Not ONE of my kids is missing out on something.

I couldn't ask for any thing more!!
