Baby Shower #2

Yesterday my girlfriends threw me a baby shower in College Station. I had TONS of FUN! I got to see all my old co-workers and a few friends I hadnt talked too in FOREVER!! Well here are some photos from the shower!! Yay!!

I didnt even get into the door before Nan started to wrap me in toilet paper. Before I got there they started a game. The girls had to guess how man squares of toilet paper I was around. Some of them were giddy and guessed like 19!! But I only turned out to be only 11 :( Sorry Patty.. This is my fabulous host Taylor!! She was explaining the next game and getting everything organized!! Good job Tay Tay..This is Bethany, me and Heather playing "Guess what baby object is in the brown bag" game. Haha.. dont know what the actual name of the game was but it was fun!! Guess who got a 100?!! ME!! Bethany would have gotten a 100 too but they would accept butt cream for diaper rash cream!! Seriously? I would have given it to her!!

Well after all the games were played, I got to cut my cake. It was soo cute because it matched the "Little Prince" napkins they had. While everyone ate cake I opened gifts. Here Bethany is trying to explain the original purpose of the box I was trying to open. Except Ladd forgot to tell me about the cards that came in it so I had no idea what she was talking about!! Haha sorry Bethany!!
Well my friend Sara wrapped some of her many presents in this fun paper and Jennifer had to take a picture of it. The paper was polka-dots with glitter. It was so cute I didnt wanna tear into it!

This was the group picture before Webb had to leave for work and Deann had to drive back to Wichita Falls. Man I have some great friends!!And this is just me being goofy. Jen said to show off my belly!! So I stuck it out!! haha :) Ok the next few pictures was the next part of my sunday. After the shower I came home and took out all the stuff I got so Ladd could see. Well after playing with everything and assembling a few things, Bethany and her brother Bradley came over to visit with Ladd. Well James and Bethany left a Target gift card that was very nice of them which they didnt have to do because she already gave me gifts at the shower. Anyways after she left we pulled all our gift cards together and bought this very nice changing table/dresser for Jellybean. Thanks to all that gave us a giftcard to Target and a special thanks to James and Bethany!!

All the clothes and stuff on top is all the clothing, burp rags, bibs, blankets, onsies, and a few socks and mittens we got at the shower. They still need to be washed so I havent put them up yet. Oooh and I got the diaper warmer I wanted! Its so fun!! :) Other items we got were tons I mean TONS of diapers (bc everyone had to bring a pack to get into the shower) bottles, toys, lots of kitchen stuff like bowls, plates, and spoons. We got a diaper bag, some window shades and some very cute decorations! Now we just need to get some shelfs up and start decorating everything!! yay!!

Our Saturday..

Today Ladd and I slept in till 10. Which was nice :) We were suppose to go to James and Bethany's cabin early that morning but we didn't get out there till like 11:30. Well, I didn't expect to do much because we were due back in College Station by NO LATER than 2:30. Well Ladd wanted to follow James and his jeep down to the creek. At first Ladd was like "Naw, better not." With in minutes I was watching Ladd's truck come down the embankment. :( It was scary.From then for a few seconds was fuzzy. Some how he had gotten his truck turned around in this little creek bed and then he started trying to climb out of it. Easier said than done.

Let me just say in the beginning I was like, "Ladd this isn't a good idea. You re going to lose a bumper or dent something." And in the end he came out with a dented rear bumper bc Ladd wasn't watching what he was doing and slid back off the hill into the other embankment, pushing the side of him bumper up into his truck. After James' jeep couldn't pull him out bc something to do with his 4 wheel drive not working, they hooked up a come along and slowly pulled it out of the rutts Ladd put himself in.
Finally, James went back up to the Cabin and got his truck, which FINALLY pulled Ladd out of his mess.. Need I to mention the time is 1:50ish and its a little over a 45 min drive back. Well a dented bumper later Ladd was free.
Then we raced back to College Station to shower and get ready for the Astros Game. Ladd's dad beat us to our apartment, but we were on the road before 3. When we got to the ballpark, it was standing room only. So we decided to scalp some tickets outside the stadium. We sat on the 4th deck but to me they were pretty good seats because we got to see the whole field. I had tons of fun considering it was my first Astros game!! But after our long day, I was super exhausted!!

Ok funny story here :) So being this was my first time to an Astros game, the train that came out at the beginning of the game, I had a der-da-der moment and asked "Why pumpkins?" haha!! Well yeah.. They look like pumpkins!! Little did I know huge oranges, pumpkins.. SAME DIFFERENCE!! haha yeah :)

First Baby Shower

Ok today Ladd's work surprised him with a baby shower. They made the CUTEST little basket full of goodies. And when you dig deeper past the top diapers, you get MORE diapers!! Its so fun!! And then not only were they super nice with this but they made the CUTEST diaper cake!! I love it!! I dont want to take it apart but I also dont know where to put it!!

Ladd said there is other gifts and I havent got the details on the baby shower bc as soon as he got home from work he laid down and fell asleep. Just brought in these two things. :) So Im waiting for him to wake up and I will update further!!

28 weeks..

Ok for all you blog stalkers!! Here are tummy pics at 28 weeks. We go to the doctor tomorrow so I actually put up a blog then. Too tired right now..

4th of July..

No tummy pictures yet sorry guys, but soon because Ladd gets back from Houston on Thursday! Over the weekend we went back home to my parents house for the 4th. Thursday we left College Station and headed to Brownwood. When we got to my parents house we went out to eat and then sat outside and relaxed the rest of the night, the wind off the lake made it a very nice evening.

Friday morning we woke up and went to Randy's house to pick up clubs for Ladd. Randy is my dad's boss/our family friend and he is left handed and the only person we knew that had extra left handed clubs. Then we headed to my mom's work to help clean rooms (she is a camp cooridinator for a Baptist Camp) because she had a new camp coming in and she was swamped. So we helped out to so she could get off sooner. When we got home a lot of my extended family was there and we soon hit the lake. It was so nice to finally get on the jet ski, even though I wasnt able to do all the crazy fun stuff I used too, like tubing and wake boarding :( But being able to swim and relax was AMAZING!! The rest of the day was just relaxing and full of good food. When it got dark we sat on the balcony and watched all the fireworks. Our house is on/in a hill and it has a panaramic view of the lake and it was so fun being able to see other people waste their money on 10 min of fun!! haha :)

Saturday morning was early for Ladd. He had to get up at 6 to go golfing with my family. He looked so cute with his golfing attire on :) From what I heard Ladd did very well for his first time. While he was gone I just hung out with my grandma, aunt, cousin and mom. We went to town and showed them all where the wedding is going to be and made a quick trip to Wal-Mart. It was so funny because my aunt and I were talking about Ladd and his MANY hobbies and I made the comment that golf is the only thing besides paintball that he seems to not have equipment for. I also said "I bet you 10 bucks he is going to come backing asking if he can buy a set of clubs." And as soon as I could find him after everyone got back the first few words out of his mouth was "Can I get some golf clubs. I had so much fun!" I just giggled. :) After everyones nap we went and played on the lake some more and I got a little gutsy on the jet ski, threw Ladd and I off TWICE and flipped it once!! haha I had so much fun.. A little side note, DaKota (my dog) was down on the dock with us because she wouldnt leave my side, and when I jumped in she would throw a fit and she would jump in too. Well I was so worried she would get tired of swimming and not be able to get out when she wanted. So Ladd had a bright idea to put a life jacket on her. Well I do have to say it was the funniest thing I had ever experienced with DaKota. She couldnt swim good with it on and she finally gave up and she went belly up!! it was so cute!! Then that night we went back to my mom's work to watch the "Big" fireworks. It was VERY relaxing because we had fixed up a little seating area in the back of Ladd's truck. Way more comfortable than chairs.

Sunday morning my mom cooked a big breakfast for everyone. I was one of the last ones in line so I didnt get much but what I had was good!! Then everyone kind of started to pack up and got ready to leave. Soon everyone was in the pool chit chatting and talking about when the next big event was. We all came to the conclusion it will be my baby shower and they are all going Golfing again while I have my shower!! Yay!! Im so excited!! Ladd and I left around 2ish because we still had to go back through Taylor to drop off the tent and Ladd had to go to work the next morning at 5.

Overall the weekend was very fun!! Sooo relaxing. Now we or I am back in College Station and Ladd is off in Houston working :( He will back Thursday afternoon so hopefully we will get pictures up soon. Then this weekend I might be in Houston because our friend Ragan is suppose to be having her baby so I wanna go and take notes :) Cant wait!!
